Published to introduce the public to the fascinating palace of King Taksin the Great, this book is compact and beautifully illustrated, with explanations in both Thai and English. It contains details of the history and beginning of the palace, which became known as the Wang Derm Palace, at present, the Head Quarters or the Royal Thai Navy. Details of restoration works, floor plans and maps are included.

With descriptions in Thai and English, this publication recounts the history of the life of King Pinklao, the Second King of Siam in the reign of King Rama IV. The Phra Racha Wang Derm Restoration Foundation Committee has completed most of the restorations of buildings in Phra Racha Wang Derm, but still requires funds for future maintenance and repairs. The Foundation has thus made available for ownership a limited number of King Taksin the Great statuettes.
